The Secret to a Well Nourished Skin

No matter how much you can afford to spend on your skin, the following is a lifetime tip:

"Cleanse, tone and nourish your skin.". Never go to bed without removing your make up no matter how you are feeling!

To cleanse your face

No matter what type of skin you have it is advisable to deep cleanse your face once week. The best method is a steam bath. Fill a large bowl with boiling water and add some lime leaves which you can buy from any herbal shop. Wrap a towel around your head and bend over a bowel. The towel must encircle your face in order to concentrate the effect of the steam. Stay under for 10-15 minutes, then pat your face dry with a soft towel. Finally press slices of cucumber on your face, leave on for 10 minutes so as to close up the pores.

A Relieving Face Mask

Can be be made from a few ounces of barley flour, beaten with and egg white and honey until firm. Keep the mask on as long as possible and then rinse with water.

A Strawberry Mask

A refining mask counteracting the effects of cold weather. Put 1/3 pint of strawberries in a blender with 1/5 pint of milk. Mix well and spread the mixture over your face and neck. Lie flat for at least half an hour and rinse of with water and lemon juice.

Chapped Hands

Wash your hands with oatmeal rather than soap, then afterwards dry your hands with dry oatmeal.

Secret to an Even Fake Tan

Never exfoliate and shave your legs on the same day as you apply your tan cream or you may end up with a nasty rash. Try to do this the day before. Always start from the feet up, in an upward motion.
I have tried many creams and the best one I have found for a quick tan is L'Oreal Sublime Gel. I give this the thumbs up because it non greasy and is easy to apply, soaking quickly into the skin. For a gradual tan, there are many creams on the market. Johnson's were the first company to bring our this type of body lotion, then other leading brands followed. I know that Dove won an award recently for this product , however "Garnier Summer Body" is a wonderful cream, it smells fruity and does not develop that awful fake tan smell, for a gradual tan that looks natural this is a winner!
