West Highland Way ,
Scotland - there is a famous
walk which starts in Milngavie on the outskirts of Glasgow and
finishes in Fort William. You will discover the most magnificent scenery
and wonderful pubs and inns. There are many travel companies who will
help you organise this and take your baggage for you instead of you
having to carry it. Thy will also book hotels and guest houses for you

I have been very fortunate to
live in Croftamie for 10 years a small hamlet 2 miles from Drymen a
pretty little village with a village green, and the oldest pub in Scotland
which dates back to 1745 "The Clachan. There

Top
Notch Scotland - Top Class Tourist Attractions in Scotland
Scotland has such beautiful
scenery but what do you do when you get to your destination. Being
Scottish I have always had a passion for Scotland, however over the
the years Scottish Tourism has been perceived as very tacky
conveying an image of Scotland as mainly Tartan. However I am glad
to say that there are a few "Top Notch" Tourist
Attractions, one of many being "Bruar" which is situated
between Perth and Inverness.
A well admired Scottish Tourist Attraction is Baxters at Blackford -
just off the M9 Motorway between Stirling and Perth.
Baxters
at Blackford is the home of the new flagship
experience.
In addition to outstanding restaurant facilities, Baxters offers a
fantastic Scottish showcase of inspirational fine food, clothing,
gifts and much, much more. Blackford is ideal for the perfect day
out for visitors from the surrounding Perthshire area, and for
those travelling the main tourist route North to the Highlands.
Blackford is situated is situated 10 minutes from The Famous
Gleneagles Hotel, there are many wonderful
walks near this area.
I recently discovered a new haven in Scotland,
Duchally Estates, Built in
1838, Duchally
Country Estate is one of the finest hotels in the
heart of Scotland's Braveheart country, with Gleneagles only two
minutes away. Set in its own 27 acres of spectacular grounds, it
is a true haven of hospitality. This former 19th century Manor is
now refurbished to its former splendour. It has 13 hotel bedrooms
and 24 self-catering lodges. You do not have to be a resident to
use the hotel facilities. The hotel is situated off the Glendeveon
Road, well worth a visit! Very friendly staff!
Bruar represents Scotland as it should be
portrayed. Within its unique environment nestling at the
side of the famous Bruar Falls, The House of Bruar offers a
variety of shopping opportunities rolled into one. Bruar offers a
carefully selected range of elegant and refined country clothing
– just a taste of our Scottish delights. Bruar has a clearance
shop which is carefully hidden at the back of the development.
This is well worth a visit, many high class bargains on offer. In
addition to this Bruar offers a fabulous range of Scottish Fayre.
The food is second to none, well recommended for a family outing
for Sunday lunch, however it is not cheap, but I always believe
you get what you pay for. As mentioned previously the Bruar
Falls offers spectacular Scottish scenery at its best, take a beautiful
walk up the falls. If you combine this up market shopping experience
with fine Scottish food and Scottish Scenery, it is a memorable
day out in Scotland to be cherished!
If you are travelling further north of the A9 towards the Scottish
Higlands, I suggest you stop off at the new Aviemore resort,
Macdonald
Aviemore Highland Resort
takes your holiday to a
higher level. Located in the heart of the Cairngorms National
Park, the resort offers boundless opportunities to experience
numerous outdoor and sporting activities year-round and to enjoy
the best of famed Highland hospitality.
Finally I suggest you follow the
whisky trail, stopping on route at
The
Garth Hotel, Granton on Spey
This Scottish hotel,
near Aviemore, has recently been refurbished to encompass the
perfect blend of elegant Victorian design and originality and all
modern comforts. Fine hotel accommodation and food in the Scottish
Highlands offering the standard of hospitality that Scotland has
become renowned for, again extremely friendly and helpful staff.
This hotel has a lovely ambience! After a restful and
very pleasant stay here discover the famous
Speyside
Whisky Trail
